open house lovely

many thanks to all who came out to our open house on saturday, during the busy mother's day weekend! the sun was shining for us, the grass was freshly mowed and the flowers were making a first appearance. we had so much fun making boats with miss toki, making our butter and bread and hearing a lovely story. i wish i had snapped more photos, but we were all so busy enjoying. a big thanks to all the class parents who helped out and contributed beauty to the day, to mr. alex for yard beautification and to all the families who joined us! it was truly a lovely lovely day... xo

spring comes to morning glory!

we have been quiet, like sleeping seeds, waiting waiting to be reborn in spring!
finally this week spring has arrived in maine.
we are so glad to see the first of the bulbs pushing their way through, old mother earth is letting the root children out to play! finally!
here at morning glory many things are brewing, many things are anew.
we will share more soon as our buds blossom!

Parent & Child classes on Mondays!

Parent & Child Program
Mondays 9:00 ~ 11:30

Our Parent and Child class enables parents and caregivers to bring their children to school to explore together the wonderful world of the young child. We provide a gentle structure within which babies and toddlers (up to young 3-year-olds) can begin to experience the world outside of the home with the security of a parent or caregiver nearby. It is a wonderful introduction to Waldorf Parenting and the classroom.

Parent Child is also a great support to new mothers and fathers who will find companionship in meeting and talking with other parents of young children.
We will bake bread on this day and have a small seasonal craft or handwork project that the parents can work on while the children are free to explore and play.

This is a weekly session and begins Monday Sept. 12th.
Fall Sessions of Parent & Child run from 9/12 to 12/12

{This fall we have the opportunity to clean, card and spin local wool into yarn. This may seem like an undertaking with small children about, but parents will be surprised how much can get done while the children play quietly or look on in amazement, some older children may join in where appropriate}
