Morning Glory Garden School in Belfast is offering a Spring Session of the Morning Glories Art Class for Parents and Toddlers . This is a welcoming time for you and your young child, age 14 months - 3 years, to join with other families to connect and inspire one another, of making crafts and to experience a rhythmic morning together of playing, singing, and outdoor time.
Daily activities include a simple art project, where we will be watercolor painting, making bead necklaces, felting wool eggs. Every project will be simple and well presented for the beginner. During circle time there will be lap games, finger plays, songs and dancing. We will end the morning inside with a puppet show, with time for outdoor play and feeding our chickens! There will be handouts with our songs and circle. The class will run for 10 weeks, every Friday morning from 9:30-11:30am, and includes one Parent Evening and one pot-luck social gathering.
the fee is sliding scale of $175-250 for the session with a materials fee of $15

Toki Oshima is a co-teacher at Morning Glory Garden School, having taught for 12 years at the Ashwood Waldorf School. She has a certificate from Sophia's Hearth, from a 2 year training called "The Child in the First 3 Years", and a Master's degree in Waldorf Early Childhood Education from Sunbridge College. She is an artist and musician, and loves working with parents and their children, exploring the path for the child to become their best self. There is simplicity and beauty in her class, a place for the parent to have fun making things, to breath and enjoy their bond with their child, and the community.
